After 2.5 years of research and development, the Green Restaurant Association has launched software to make the recertification process quicker and more convenient for restaurants. To complete the recertification, restaurants simply log on to the GRA’s recertification app and follow the directions to complete verification for each environmental step for which they are currently earning GreenPoints™. The recertification process generally requires restaurants to take photographic proof of each step, which now may be uploaded easily and directly to the app. Once the information has been completed on the app, the Certified Green Restaurant®'s sustainability consultant completes the recertification by gathering any other necessary data, which can include purchasing records, vendor discussions, live video, and more. The new app makes the process of recertification fun, while maintaining the same high level of verification requirements.
