Environmental Consulting Intern - Composting

 

The Green Restaurant Association is seeking an intern to work 20 hours per week for 3 months. The focus of this internship is to conduct research related to the availability of commercial composting programs across the US, the environmental benefits of different food waste recycling methods, and the status of individual city- and state-wide legislations for requiring commercial food waste recycling.

We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

  • Strong research background

  • Attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills

  • Comfortable discussing sustainability issues

  • Ability to take direction and work independently

  • Familiarity with composting and different food waste recycling procedures
