This important step begins the whole process and creates the baseline, upon which further recommendations are made. This is the part of the program where the GRA is evaluating all the products a restaurant uses, its services, and paring down the restaurants environmental priorities.

The GRA makes recommendations based on the best route the restaurant can take toward certification. In this phase, the GRA works with restaurant stakeholders to cultivate buy-in for the proper route.
The GRA works hand in hand with vendors, recyclers, landlords, etc. to impliement steps needed for Certification.
The restaurant will send invoices and other documentation for GRA to review and determine steps completed to earn 100 points toward certification.
The GRA lists the restaurant on its guide and on dinegreen.com. The restaurant receives license to use the Certification logo on their store-front, menus, in ads, on website, etc.
GRA Communications Manager works with restaurants to integrate the marketing and PR opportunities surrounding its certification.
